FILLED - Social Media Intern Position

I am looking for a social media intern to support with social media engagement, video editing, story graphic design, and podcast/sponsor outreach! If you have an innate desire to learn and grow, find yourself constantly inspired while scrolling through Instagram, and are jumping at the chance to get lots of hands-on experience at a female-founded lifestyle brand, then this is the role for you! Reports to the Social Media Manager. The ideal start date is January 1st, 2022 and the position requires at least a 3-month commitment.

Location: Remote—would be great if you're in Philly but it is not required.

About Sadie + She Persisted: She Persisted is THE teen mental health podcast. Sadie brings you authentic, accessible, relatable conversations about every aspect of mental wellness. Expect evidence-based, teen-approved resources, coping skills, insights, and education in each piece of content you consume.

Sadie is an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Pennsylvania where she is studying to become a clinical psychologist. She is passionate about graphic design, marketing, and podcasting and has worked with top-charts podcasts, marketing companies, and has independently She Persisted from the ground up.

 

  • - Must be working towards a degree in or be insanely passionate about Marketing, Social Media, Communications, Public Relations, or related industry

    - Must be proficient in Canva, iMovie (or a similar video editing platform), Asana, the Google Suite, and Later

    - Familiarity with social media platforms’ native capabilities (including Instagram, Facebook,

    YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter)

    - Superior time management and organizational capabilities

    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    - Works well within a team and independently on projects

    - Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with attention to detail

    - Though subject to change, I'm looking for 10 hours of dedication per week compensated at $15/hour

    - You go crazy for a good aesthetic

    - You’re not afraid to dive into the latest or upcoming trends to creatively integrate purpose into tangible and relevant content

    - Enthusiasm for the podcasting space and serving the She Persisted mission + community

    - Never short on ideas or lacking the initiative to bring those ideas to life

  • - You will manage 3+ Instagram accounts and spearhead their engagement strategy (comments, story responses, liking, and connecting with niche accounts)

    - You will help design and implement daily Instagram stories for 3+ accounts

    - You will manage guest and sponsorship pitches for She Persisted (podcast and social media)

    - You will edit podcast videos for the She Persisted YouTube channel, Instagram, and TikTok page!
